Swim with horses

STROLL ALONG WETLANDS, RIDE THROUGH CLEAR BLUE WATERS OF BUCCOO BAY WHILE LEARNING ABOUT HORSE CARE, BODY LANGUAGE AND BEING ONE WITH NATURE. A TRULY MAGICAL EXPERIENCE!
This special 2 hour experience is a joyful one for both horses and riders, including first timers who have never spent time with horses. Excellent guidance and instruction makes it possible for all riders to be at ease.

After introducing the horses to guests (at which point each rider chooses his/her ’team partner’ horse), the tour starts with a ride through Buccoo Village, past the goat race track and through the wetland mangroves to the beach for a long and exciting beach ride to the end of Buccoo Bay where the group can then swim with the horses along the shore.

Learn about the horses personality & character, their age & where they came from and how to interact with them in a gentle & easy way.

The cost of this guided tour is 600TTD (60 UK Pounds or 95 USD)per person (children and adults are the same price).

Check out some of the incredible pictures below and don’t miss your chance of this magical experience on your next visit to Tobago!

  2. These excellent, affectionate, animals actually choose their own riders, and, when they finally hit the water, you're swept away! Anyone, from a pedantic lawyer to a fastidious accountant, or to an environmental activist will be enthralled, trotting across a long, beautiful beach, entering the water, and galloping through it. Be prepared to get wet, and to fall in love with these wonderful animals. At US$100 per rider, it's perhaps priced too low, so this is excellent value for money. The handlers accompanied us, to manage and direct the theatre of your equestrian experience. There are no bits or stirrups, but the horses, so adapted to your handling of the reins, and your body movement, (on which you receive 15 mins of individual training), become the beautiful creatures we always imagined or were always slightly in awe of. You have never experienced something like this before. Go brave, and with love.

  3. This ride was one of the highlights of my life. The owners and staff care so deeply about the horses and it shows in everything they do. Most of the horses are rescues, the riders don't use painful bits or stirrups, and the horses choose their riders. The ocean part of this ride was just incredible. We were all beaming the whole time. This is not an experience to miss if you're in Tobago! Can't wait to return.

  4. Had such a wonderful life changing, calming yet exciting experience!

We commend the work of Mrs. Veronica and her team as they help to cultivate an attitude of awareness and appreciation for all persons; differently abled and otherwise through the foundation.

Loved the intimate setting of it all; the trails, the park, the people...how organically it is all presented leaving nature undisturbed and maintaining perfect balance!

We witnessed firsthand the love and attention that is given daily to these wonderful animals and we are most grateful for the second chance that she and her husband have given to them all! The horses and ponies are treated with respect and due dignity! Majestic herd!

They are just such a welcoming group that makes this new experience easier for even a beginner to gracefully process! Lennon's humor is unsurpassed...such a cheerful guy! We can't forget to mention Arendell...such a professional photographer! Krissy you're a darling too!

I highly recommend this to anyone local or visiting the island!
Should be on everyone's bucket list!
    Truly remarkable! Love ❤️!
